Where to find an insert for a V neck top?

suziecaApril 5, 2009

I have a V neck knit top (can't return it) and it shows too much cleavage. So I want to buy a ready-made insert to sew in there. I can't find them anywhere...have tried Hancock's, JoAnn's, & Beverly's. Any suggestions as to where I should look next or how to make my own? I'm sure I've seen them in the past in a package.

Thanks in advance!

You could use a bit of wide eyelet lace - it wouldn't take much. If you can't find lace wide enough you could sew 2 pieces together along the long edge and then attach it to your blouse.

Remember dickies??? You can make your own using an old shirt/blouse.Just cut off the sleeves and the bottom, both in the front and back.I make the back shorter than the front.

I have used lace doily inserts to make a plain v neck into something dressy. Joanns always carried them but don't do if they still do.
