cinderblock drain

lily603September 16, 2013

off driveway and into basement, a concrete slab, an entryway with a 4ft high cinderblock wall...think L shape. I need to repair some cracks n the block. an ongoing problem has been when water getsinto that area, even sweeping won't get it out. on the foot side of the L i'd like to drill and put in a pvc drain. Safe? sensible?

I'm with ionzed. Attach a photo. Is the water pooling in the driveway? If it is you need to grade the driveway to slope away to the street. To lay a drainage pipe drilling isn't going to do it. The driveway or whatever it is needs to be dug up not drilled into and a drain needs to be installed.

I'm just guessing here.
