Ceiling fan won't run in reverse mode
I have a Hunter ceiling fan that came with a remote control. On the remote, there's a 'reverse' button that when pressed, will reverse the fan to spin in either 'winter' or 'summer' mode.
The fan was installed about 5 years ago and worked perfectly until recently. The fan now only spins one way, 'winter' mode. When I press the 'reverse' button, the fan seems like it slows a little like it's trying to reverse, but then just continues spinning in 'winter' mode.
I've tried completely stopping the fan and manually spinning the blades in the 'summer' mode direction but to no avail. When I flip the power switch, the fan slows from my manual spinning and starts spinning in 'winter' mode again.
Does anyone know if this can somehow be fixed? A new part or something?
