Here's the coat I made for her for when we go to the Nutcracker. I can't decide whether to put gold buttons on it or white snoflakes that have snowmen faces on them. What do you think?
That's so pretty.
Can you post pics of the buttons? The coat is darling!
Thank you LoganHogan and Mary!
Yes, I'll put up the picture of the buttons.
The pattern is Butterick 3634. Bought it on sale for $3.99. Found the white fabric on the 90% off table. Originally $9.99 a yard. Bought 3yds for $3.00. The red is the long poodle. On sale also 60% off. Paid 3.99 for 1yard. Bought 1 yard. I lined it with white muslim (b/c it's not that cold here) that I had bought a bolt of for .59 cents a yard. Used 3 yards. Ended up spending less than $12.00 for the entire outfit. I feel like a bandit LOL
Your my kinda bargain hunting woman!
Good for you! And it looks like couture sewing.
Thank you Mary, that's quite a compliment! I didn't know what the word 'couture' meant...so I had to look it up. Thank you very much for that compliment!
Fabulous as usual. What did your mom say about this outfit sewn on her old machine? Your Bonnie is some lucky girl. She'll be a show stopper in her outfit. What has she asked for next?
Budster, LOL, we went to JoAnns this weekend while the sale was going on. Saw a really cute pattern, showed it to BonnieBell and we decided we couldn't live without making her little dog one of these. LOL
