i recently purchased a generac 14kw standby generator and wanted to know if anyone can let me know about how much a contractor would charge me to install it . i currently reside in southern california .one electrician quoted me $4,565.00 which included mounting subpanels, transfer switch, wiring, setting the generator, battery, and filling the gas tank and driving a ground rod to ground system.thought that was a little high ? can anyone help?
