Vinyl Siding J channel repair

clagaFebruary 5, 2014

Hi,
A small 3 inch piece from the front edge of J channel that meets the riser/kick plate under the patio door broke off while I was shoveling snow from the deck.
Can it be glued back on?
If so what is the recommended adhesive?

Thanks

I would silicone a piece of vinyl or plastic to the back of the channel which spanned both sides.

I have no idea. Thick enough that if you bend it repeatedly, it doesn't break right away.
