Need Legal Advice

lulie___wayneJune 8, 2002

I was wondering if any of you may have legal business knowledge. My son started a flooring business under his name, but he is going to be in partnership with their store, in the partner's name. The store has the company name. What negative legal ramifications could this involve, and what should my son do to protect himself? They have a lot of commercial business such as hotels, churches etc. as well as residential, but they want the store also, to generate more residential business and, of course, to sell the materials.

Your input would greatly be appreciated.

This is a question that should be answered by someone who is familiar with the business laws in your state.

A lot will depend on whether or not he working as a corporation, or what. He needs both the advice of a lawyer and a CPA.
