I finished 6 grocery-tote bags for gifts. I didn't quilt them - just pieced & lined. My girlfriends & I usually exchange small items & you can never have enough grocery totes! Sue
WOW! I love them! And they will make great gifts.
Very nice! You are right....you can't have too many totes!
Pretty! Small projects are great!
I just love your bags... such a nice gift idea.
When I was at the quilt show in Columbus Ohio, I got a shopping bag pattern, and I must say that yours are a much nicer pattern. I did make some from the pattern I bought, and used veggies type material... was cute.
Sue, they are great. Now I know what to do with those odd leftover blocks I have. Thanks.
Great idea! I like the pattern you used, too. I'm doing some water bottle holders as gift to some girlfriends. I'll post a picture when I get them done.
I agree, great idea and good job. Good way to to use up the stash. Your friends will remember you every shopping day. Jayne
I love them all! The fifth one....is that done with the twister templates? They're very unique.
What lovely and useful gifts! Doncha love giving something with a personal touch you know someone can use? When I use gifts somebody crafted just for me, I think of them each time I use it.
Buteau3rd - yes the 5th one is a twister template. I love that all you do is sew squares and you get that complicated look!
I thought I was done & now my "movie club" group is getting together so I need to knock out 5 more bags by next Thursday ... thank goodness I am not planning on subbing this next week - although I do have to work at church all day Thursday!
I love them!!! I don't think I could make 5 by next week. I have the old book with the twister pattern and I plan to make it, I didn't think about using it on a bag.
