Medicare & cataract surgery

Does anyone on this forum know if Medicare pays anything toward cataract surgery? I also have a BCBS plan N and wonder if they will pay anything. Thanks.

Yes it does. But why not call Medicare and get the straight skinny?

Also, you can talk to your doctor's office, the staff handling billing and insurance. They deal with this every day.

I had a cataract removed 2 months ago and will have the other done in 2 weeks. I haven't paid anything for it except a special lens Medicare does not pay for.
