Drawbacks of new countertops :(
Yes, I know #firstworldproblems but ...
The gaudy granite is where the SO likes to cut bread, and you can't spot the crumbs in with all the flecks of color.
The wood countertops are darkening rapidly (a good thing) but it's really hard to spot most spills. I use cutting sheets for food prep because of the cats wandering through, but there are still sticky spots.
I guess I have to clean more often.
