Horizontal Support for 4inch DWV pipe?

PT1968August 28, 2013

I have an open joist bay where i plan to run a 20' 4 inch DWV pipe. The Joist are TJI

What is the best way to support the so it remains with in the joist bay. I have steel been supporting the joist from below and do not want to run the pipe under the beam.

Is the hanger for this type of application or should i use the metal support tape and screw the tape to the bottom of the sub floor

I appreciate any ideas

Use metal tape screwed to the top rail or blocking nailed in the web. you'll only need 3 or 4 at the most.
