Light-weight fusible grid interfacing

loisflanOctober 16, 2013

Does anyone have a favorite light-weight fusible grid interfacing? I have a postage stamp quilt in my future - far in the future, but I want to be ready. Thanks.

I couldn't find one that was the right size grid, so I drew the grid myself when I made my quilt. It was sort of a pain, but very do-able.

The other tip that I forgot to mention on the other thread about this was that I cut my squares just a touch smaller than what was called for. For example, I was using 1.5" squares (finishing to 1") and so I cut my squares at 1 7/16. This way after you fuse them to your grid none of your squares overlap at all and you can fold your grid with a nice clean crease. You still sew a 1/4 seam, and the 1/16 difference is caught in the seam allowance and doesn't show. I hope that makes sense.
