Old Sears sewing machine

toolgrannySeptember 12, 2011

I'm trying to put an old machine together for a woman who needs one. I about have it but can't get it to do a straight stitch.

Does anyone have a manual for a Sears 148-15600 that can look something up for me?

Linda, I used to think you could find any answer online. I did find where someone asked how to get from a buttonhole stitch to a straight stitch, but there wasn't an answer. Sorry. I have an older Kenmore with manual up north but don't know if it's this model or not. Salijo has my mom's (probably from the 50's) but I doubt there's a manual with it....will have her check model number.
