LOOKING for: German Raisin Walnut Cookies

tmd15December 9, 2009

Does anyone have a recipe for these cookies? They were made by a German friend of mine years ago and they are the best raisin cookie I think I ever had. They were a soft drop cookie and the raisins were soaked in either Rum or Brandy before being mixed in. Thanks!

See if this is similar & read the introduction. If they don't call for nuts, it's no problem adding them to most cookie recipes.

Here's another that does have walnuts but it's filled. It doesn't mention soaking the raisins in rum or brandy but you could use that instead of water. It was made by the poster's German grandmother.
