RECIPE: My Mom's Famous Pound Cake Recipe

2 sticks of softened butter
1 cup of evaporated milk
3 cupc of Ap flour
3 cups of sugar
6 eggs
1tsp of vanilla

Cream butter & sugar together. Add vanilla & eggs (1 at a time) and evaporated milk. Alternate adding eggs & flour.

Bake at 350 for 1 hours & 15 minutes in a tube pan;

What size pan do you bake it in? I take it you need to grease the pan first before cooking?

Not clear on additions.

Should you alternate the flour and liquid/evap milk?

Has anyone tried alternating eggs with the flour?

Thanks for the recipe, but it needs a tad more development/instruction.

Alternate adding "eggs & flour". --- should read "milk and flour".

An almost identical recipe (Elvis Presley's Favorite Pound Cake) uses 1 more egg and cream instead of evap. milk and it calls for a buttered & floured 10-inch tube pan.
