LOOKING for: Dinner in a Dish

peannut40September 30, 2010

Hi All,

I'm looking for a casserole recipe that was printed in a Junior Girlscout cookbook back in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The recipe was called Dinner in a Dish. I believe it called for Ground Beef, Rice, Catsup - no green pepper. I can't recall if it had onion. I think the recipe called for browning the ground beef then mixing with the rice and catsup . . and the rest of the ingredients. Bake - then the last 15 minutes of baking you would crack open a can of refrigerator biscuits and put them on the top and bake until the biscuits were done. I live in Wisconsin - and I remember going to a test kitchen for Wisconsin Electric or Wisconsin Natural Gas.......if anyone has this recipe - please share. It was so simple but soooooooo good.

Thanks

Denise
