RECIPE: fast & fancy chicken (t&t)
Fast & Fancy Chicken (breast)
6 skinless chicken breast, or 3 large whole chicken breast, boned, skinned & split
6 nice slices of Swiss cheese
4 Oz. of sliced mushrooms (this is optional)
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup or you can use cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. white wine
2 c. herb stuffing mix
1 stick butter, melted
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Grease a 9 X 13 baking dish (like Pyrex)
Place the chicken in a single layer in the baking dish
Place a piece of cheese over the chicken.
Sprinkle the mushrooms over the cheese.
Mix the soup and the wine together and pour over the chicken.
Spread the dry stuffing over the top of the dish.
Drizzle the butter over the stuffing.
bake, uncovered for about 50-60 minutes until done.
If you want it a bit spicy sprinkle the chicken with Creole seasoning if you like, or use whatever you like.
Nice dish, even for company!
