RECIPE: Crock pot chicken & Dumplins

I made this tonight for the first time and its great! and so easy. Its from allrecipes.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 6 Hours Ready In: 6 Hours 10 Minutes

Servings: 6-8

"Easy, creamy chicken with delicate dumplings made from refrigerator biscuits, slow cooked to comfort food perfection."


4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

2 tablespoons butter

2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of

chicken soup 1 onion, finely diced

2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit

dough, torn into pieces


1. Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover.

2. Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High. About 30 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

Thanks, Joann. I cook and bring food to my elderly parents and soft foods with gravy works great for them and sometimes I need something that is new and different doesn't require a lot of work.

We've made this several times. It's really good! You can even throw in frozen breasts! I suggest a little extra liquid (water or broth). The biscuits take about an hour to brown in there. You can add sm diced carrots and or frozen peas too.
