Stonescape colors

harleygirl911December 27, 2011

I need help choosing a color for our new pool. I like the darker colors but the builder says with the Texas heat the darker you go the warmer the water gets and could be too warm to be comfortable swimming in. If anyone has any pictures or advice please let me know.

I know it doesn't make a particle of difference here in NJ. I can't say that that is definitively not the case in your area but the infra-red rays of the sun really don't penetrate that deeply as a of matter actual physics so if a darker color is what you like, go for it.

Whatever you do get, make sure it is resistant to fade from UV.

Plenty of white plaster pool in Tx, Cali, Fl, and many other places with solar panels being run at night to cool the pool too.
