Solar Heating Options

ccpNovember 7, 2010

We are building a pool and our home is located in the Inland Empire, CA. We are looking into various solar heating options to extend our swimming season. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on a good unit for that?

Thanks.

I have the Heliocol panels installed. Prime reason for me was an install to a steep standing seam metal roof subject to storm winds; however, your conditions might favor some other brand/style install.

Anyway, a non-biased source of panel advice (size, placement, tested efficiency, etc.) can be found at the Florida Solar Energy Center website run by the Univ of Central Florida

We went with Aquatherm. Works great and came with a lifetime transferable warranty against any leaks in the roof and a lifetime transferable warranty on the panels. Hope this helps...
