Finally....Digging in the 'D'.....

Detroit, that is. Another pool in the 'burbs is underway.

The wood forms went in this morning on our 44' x 16' - 18' gunite pool.

I'll post more details later when I can download some pics. Right now I am most curious to know:

When your pool was first laid out, did it look small???

My husband reminds me that each time we've ever built a house, when it was in the framing stage, they've always looked smaller than the end result. Same theory applies, he says.

What say you?

Funny thing - it looks small-ish when I stand on our patio but when I go to the back of the yard and look at it with the house in the background, it looks YOOOOGE.

Yes, it will look small when they first draw it off. But the good news is it grows as the work progresses. We thought the same thing initially and even began second guessing our size choice (18 x 36) but it turned out great!
