Quilt I made last summer

loraleeApril 7, 2012

This quilt is for the oldest granddaughter. Its in the closet for now.

This is a queen size and called Bluedeflt, the grandaughter loves blue and really liked the quilt too.

Very pretty! I like the simple cross hatch quilting. Are the flowers appliqued?

The flowers are appliqued. I enjoy working on this part while watching tv.

Thank you for the compliments.

Beautiful! Love the colors! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Lucky Grand Daughters~when do you plan on giving them? I'm guessing for a special occasion / event -- these quilts are well planned & look like a labor of love.

Hey Loralee,

That's just stunning!

Did you color it yourself, it's wonderful gradations of blue & having a small piece of Delft myself, I get the connection, very evocative of that. The bit of green is a refreshing touch. Wonderfully done, is it your own design? Hope you don't mind all the questions.

Beautiful quilt. I love blue and white too, did not notice the green until pirate girl pointed it out, but it adds a lovely dimension.

It is a lovily quilt. I like the balance in the pattern and the colors work so well. I can see why GD would love. I would hate to keep it in the closit. TFS Jayne

Wow! Magnificent work!
Since you did the applique in front of the T.V., it was surely done by hand...how relaxing it must have been.

I'm sure the quilt will be cherished for many years, and quite possibly become a family heirloom.

Beautiful! I love the color scheme. I can't tell if it is blues or purples but the shades look great with green. That must be some real quilting on a queen size quilt.
