We wheeled my Mom through the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento today. Lunch, as usual, was yummy.

The amazing variety of individual visions on canvas, paper, clay and wood never cease to amaze me.

The abstract works on paper gave me lots of quilt inspiration. Many of the works were best viewed through a magnifying glass though, so I won't be making anything quite that size ;-)

It's always amazing where we can find inspiration. Recently I was in a turn of the century theatre for a show...just looking around at the ceiling, the trim work around the stage, the balcony railing...all awesome. Snap a pic or two with thoughts of future quilt designs going through my head.
