tips for living with a high-phosphate pool?
Howdy. We've had our "new" (old, replastered and running about a month now) pool water tested at the pool store and it came back just peachy except for high phosphates. We didn't purchase the phosphate remover they recommended. We're always going to have high phosphates due to the landscaping.
From what I understand, high phosphates is not usually a problem in a well-maintained pool. Is this correct?
Is there anything in particular I should be looking out for? Bad things that CAN occur with high phosphate levels?
(We did do some pruning so that we're not fishing tangerines out of the pool daily and we'll soon put in the bottom cleaner thing, but it's not going to get a lot better.)
