Arizona Pool Build - Progress Pics

evermoreuwJuly 25, 2010

Hey all,

This is a continuation of the other thread... Figured I'd change it since it's more progress related and less getting advice from experts.

Previous thread is here with pics of the original yard and layout.

Excavation was complete on Friday. Took them about 11 hours and I have to say I was EXTREMELY impressed with the company. They even cleaned up after themselves.

Quite an operation here. We had very little access, so they had the digger getting dirt loose for the mini Bobcat. Drive that down a narrow alley way, then transferred that into a full size Bobcat to dump into the dump truck. I don't even want to know how many trips were made. Only one trail through the grass. Should be easily repaired. Dog and wife are both happy that progress is underway. Baja step, benches, light and skimmer location.

And that is all for now. Plumbing should start on either Monday or Tuesday.

WOW, impressively clean job site, not even a footprint on your patio. Dig looks great, hope the rest follows in the same manner.

just-a: you can say that again. No complaints at all with their work.

jump: they even scrubbed the tire tracks off of our driveway. Amazing quality of work.

Plumbing is going in today, we'll see how that comes out...

Well, plumbing has been over the last two days, fighting with the monsoons off and on. As you can see, the nice clean porch is no longer.

Not too excited about the pool equipment being so close to the pool, but we didn't really have many other options. Some creative landscaping should take care of it. For those in the know, the city of Gilbert wouldn't allow us to put it on the side of the house because it would block the fire access...

A big muddy mess... Now I can see why there's caution tape.

What are they doing to the inside of the fountain.
Are you plastering that as well?
That part looks unfinished.

They still have to finish the plumbing in there, then going to either put the stacked stone on the back, and pebble the bottom, or do the whole thing pebble. That should happen Monday.
