Does finishing up a basket of clothing that needed repairs count as completed UFOs?
I certainly think so! I repaired a pair of DS's carhart overalls and made dog booties for his dog this weekend ... seemed like UFOs to me!
And putting new elastic in a air of pyjamas counts too.
They have needed it for some time.
I've fixed up a pair of maternity pants...It's about all the sewing I've done lately, so I'm counting it!! You should too!
Most definitely! My sewing table gets cluttered up with that sort of thing, I usually have to get the mending done before I can find my quilting projects.
Sure it counts. I had 2 pairs of my jeans that needed hemming. They've been on my sewing table since Xmas. I dread hemming jeans but I finally did them about a week ago. That's a UFO done.
Mending???!!!! Yuck!!! Funny how we spend hours cutting perfectly good fabric into little pieces and sewing them back together again but let someone hand us a simple mending job we run for the hills!
It does in my life.
Yippee! I hemmed 3 pair pants, repaired buttons on 2 of DH's repaired 1 bra straps, put draw strings back in 2 pair of DDs dance pants and repaired ribbons on 1 pair pointe shoes. Almost finished (with the clothes). Also went through all the grands clothes and sorted by size.
Oh Beverly, you've been busy!! Bet it feels good to have all that clothes mended. Now for some real sewing!LOL.
It counts in my book!!! If it's been setting there waiting to be done, it's a UFO!
I agree with Sharon!!
We must all be on the same wave link this week....I just finished a basket of mending too...pants that needed hemming and taking in, a fitted sheet that needed new elastic in the corners...and lost buttons replaced...good to get it finally all done...keep up the good work all
It's almost like getting a new wardrobe, isn't it. Must go along with our spring cleaning, or cabin fever.
