February 2014 quilting/sewing goals
Here it is! February, 2014!!! Can you believe it???? I've actually been playing with fabric the last few days. It started out as reading Bonnie's tips (again!) on the sizes she keeps and then going through the scraps. If I didn't know what to do with it, it got tossed back and I didn't concern myself. It seems like I'm been having a problem making the littlest decision lately. I didn't get through all of them, but started looking at the 2 1/2" squares and decided there sure were a lot of browns/tans/golds, so started sewing them together into a 9-patch....not concerning myself with anything except light and dark and threw in a few muted oranges and reds. Not sure what it will turn into, or when, but at least I'm sewing again. My goals?
1. Mail baby quilt to Indiana
2. Sandwich Summer's quilt
3. Finish Dustin's quilt top
4. Continue to work on trimming and getting scraps in order.
How about everyone else? Are you still huddled up by the fireplace and wood-burning stoves? This is the month cabin-fever usually sets in, but with the weather, I think it was January this year. I feel like it's way past time for the crocus and snow-drops to start pushing their way into view. I think we're all ready for Spring!
