DE in pool

margaret_njJune 28, 2011

I backwashed, and while adding in the new de, i forgot to shut off the return valve. About 2 lbs got into the pool. Did I do any damage? Needless to say the water is cloudy right now. Will it clear up?

I checked pool sources on line on how to backwash, but I didn't see where I was supposed to shut the return valve when adding the DE.

Thank you for any information you can provide.
