not sure of fabric to be used in your block. calico to me is small floral fabric and you want jewel tones. not sure on colors. i'm from the old school so please educate me. only have your and 1 other block and i have the year done

Please don't stress, Patti. I used the word "calico" as that is what is referenced in the pattern under supplies. Just choose something that reads jewel tone in color for those pieces...think of colors like ruby red, sapphire blue, emerald green, amethyst purple, topaz gold, etc. They don't have to be solids. Prints in those colors are perfectly fine too. I am sure I will love whatever you choose!
