Bluestone Thickness - 1/2 or 1 inch

jo1972September 24, 2009

I will be purchasing the stone to go on a concrete slab porch. The tiles can vary in thickness, for example with 1/2" thick the tiles might be anywhere from 1/4" - 3/4".

Do you see anything wrong with getting the 1/2" thick? It is less expensive. I am wondering if it might crack?

If it is Real Bluestone, you will need dynamite to crack it! Google Bluestone and ready about it - almost the hardest stone in existence - but it is also easy to confuse it with the 'light' bluestone that forms above Bluestone!
