I think the variable speed will better suit your needs. During normal circulation, two horse power is about one too many and so, the slower speeds will save you money on energy usage. The higher speeds will be nice for the spa but will use more electricity. No need.

Make sure the multiport has more than four positions.

Why are there 4 drains? There is only one primary pump and the booster for the cleaner. You only need one set if there isn't a second pump unless you are planning for the future.
