composite decking for marine enviorment

amy2202July 22, 2010

I am in the very early stages of building a new home near the Jersey shore and want comments on composite decking that will hold up in a marine enviorment. I was hoping mr. Hyatt will comment.

Thanks in advance

Hey Amy

The only one I would recomend is MoistureShield,, you can install this stuff in the water. Good outfit, great product, never had legal action, the very First composite and still the best the way I look at it. J.

Thanks for the reply John, I have been out of town and could not get back to the forum. Anyway, I was told to look at a company called Lumberock which makes a composite deck that contains no wood product. I was told they use it in Fla. quite a bit. Has anyone ever heard of it and is it a good product.

Thanks again
