Is Pool Filter Ok to use

KwGuyMay 30, 2012

I haven't used my pool filter (haward) in 2 years and I relocated it to new spot I had to tilt it quite a bit to get it on the dolly, my pool guy is saying I should buy a new one since its been moved is this true. It wasn't thrown around but it was tilted.

KwGuy,
What kind of Filter?
The grids in a DE filter will most likely need replacing if they haven't been used in two years.
Sand filters have a plastic manifold under the sand that can be broken when the filter is moved when full.
Cartridge filter elements may also deteriorate without usage.
