Fleece Caps

geezerfolks_SharonG_FLOctober 12, 2006

I started making these for my uncle who lives in Michigan and is on chemo. My DD came in and thought they were really neat so I made up a few more for her to take with her tomorrow to meet her 2 sisters and 2 of 3 girl cousins for the week-end.

They were really easy and I hope to make some more for xmas for the kids using patterned fleece....or maybe I'll have an embroidery machine to play with by then.

Those are so cute Sharon. Where did you get the pattern? I have lots of odd pieces of fleece laying around. I could make Christmas presents.

Ooo! Yes. I like those.

And would also like a pattern. I think you've just solved my 'what do I give the kids next door!?' problem.

Let me go see where it was.....I think it was from Hancock Fabrics.....they call them chemo caps, but DGD and her friend really liked them, too. I think I'll check out making some of the med sized tomorrow. Couldn't believe how quickly I could make them!

I feel like today has been a success! Not only did I make 6 caps, but I found out how to post from photobucket. I think I'll still post my pics at the gallery, but maybe into the message instead of the link. Gotta find something to post now..... @:)

Here is a link that might be useful: Chemo caps

They are really, really warm. I made one with double thick earflaps that is good for cleaning the driveway when it's windy.

Glass, I might have to try one like that for my sister and her DH.....they live northwest of Minneapolis - it sounds like their season is starting early, so I better get a move on. @:)
