Curved Nine Patch

quilting4babybreakJune 30, 2008

This is my first attempt at both curved piecing and free motion quilting. I made it as a baby gift from the Glorified Nine Patch pattern out of Mar 2008 Fon's and Porter magazine.

Beautiful!!! Was the binding hard to do? I saw that pattern and I liked it too.

Thanks! I made bias binding, which made it really easy to put on.

As long as I have been quilting my quilts have always been square or rectangular.
I need to branch out and try the curves LOL.
The quilt will 'travel' well through the baby years and beyond. Great idea.Rosa

That's a great looking quilt...haven't seen that pattern before, but I'm not into curved piecing.
