Solar heating pipe clog

jovaba62May 29, 2011

I have a solar heating for my pool and it is great. My friend's, however, apparently has a clog. Does anyone know how we would go about finding the clog or unclogging it? Can the water flow be reversed? If so, is that advisable?

How does your friend know that there is a clog? What are the symptoms? Are there any check valves in the solar runs?

It is pretty unusual for a solar panel to have a clog since it is usually plumbed right after the filter.
