anyone here about a law that makes the owner builder of a pool legal bound to it for like 25 yrs even if home is sold?

Generally, builders are responsible for a minimum of 10 years. For injury liability, anyone pulling the permit can be sued at any time in future even after you sell the house. As an OB, you are posing as the qualified contractor and expert.
As a PB, I always took the view that I could be sued for any pool of any age that I built. I kept files from the early 1970's until I retired 5 years ago. I'm just now looking at shredding everything.
Personal injury lawsuits are the worst. I've consulted on a couple and it's not pretty for anyone involved.
