Pavers fading

StaycApril 9, 2012

We put in our pool July/2011. We live in Florida and already our pavers are fading. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thank you!

Pics Pics. Before at it's install new look and pics of them now. Did you seal them or no.
I don't know much, but am interested in knowing as well, as to what made them fade.
Hope someone answers. Usually Scott is around and hopefully post, he has the answers to everything.

While I really appreciate the confidence boost, I don't know everything. Really.

UV is usually the biggest culprit for anything that fades, especially in the southern climate zones. Add the make of the paver to the mix, the color, type of sealer used, if any, before and after pics, etc... and the possibilities are nearly endless.

Scott, you almost do. To me you were great help in my pool build. Thanks Again.
So should we seal pavers or not needed. What is good to care for our pavers. Mine are Tremron. Not sealed yet.

If it were my deck, I would likely visit my local concrete supply yard and ask them what their suggestions and my options are.

Thanks.
Well, they recommend sealing to hold better and that it's simple and should be done twice a year. At the most and preserves the best look to them.

We didn't seal them. We were always told that they would make them slippery. I didn't want someone to slip and hurt themself. They look good though when they are wet lol.

Our pool guy told us we could seal them after telling him. Is this something that my husband can do on his own? Or should we hire someone? What is something like that roughly cost?

What brand of pavers did you use?
What did you do about the fading?
