pool permit denied

kiana-2010April 16, 2011

Needless to say, we're extremely disappointed due to permit being denied for pool. County says that due to lake conservation in community, we will need to add a rain garden or advance swirl system to prevent excess water from draining to lake. I would like to know if anyone is familiar with any either of these or has had any experience positive or negative. My biggest fear is that if too much water remains on our property, it will eventually flood out our basement. Any information, insight or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Remember what they ask you to do now, and what gets done later are 2 different things.

did they give you sizes of these.
Have you considered permeable pavers. These allow the rain water to go through them, as oppsed to running off. Belguard makes some nice ones.
Just a thought.
