Anyone resurfaced old pebble tec with pebble fins?

Do you miss the look? Was pebble tec more natural looking? What about colors? Did it look better, equally good or not?
Need to resurface because of too many scraped toes and its been 15 years, so I am worried Im not doing the right thing

If it is in good condition it can be polished to smooth it out.
This can often be done under water without draining, but usually more expensive.
A whole lot cheaper then a redo.
Fina doesn't last as long as a PT, or PS. Still just a plaster product with aggregate.
