Replacing RH Aubrey screws - what size?

laurajane02March 9, 2013

As per some old threads on this topic, I've decided not to use the original screws that came with my PN RH Aubrey pulls.

I called RH, and the original screws are 1" #7. It seems like #6 and #8 are more readily available in a stainless steel finish. What size should I use? I'll be ordering online.

Try Bolt Depot or some of the specialty places.

Just count on buying a box.

The price goes WAY up if you just want a few (especially when you factor in shipping and handling charges).

Thanks! I'll plan to buy a bunch.

Since #7 isn't an option, should I get #6's or #8's?

My cabinet maker would know, but he is away until the end of the month, so I'd like to get the screws now so that he can install my hardware when he returns.

> #7 isn't an option

Fastenal has a good selection of #7 stainless screws. I think you want "oval" head screws.

Fastenal Home Page -> Screws -> Wood Screws -> Material: Stainless Steel -> Diameter: #7 -> Head: Oval

Here is a link that might be useful: Fastenal
