Delta Faucet wiggles

red_eared_slider86October 29, 2010

Does anyone know anything about this Delta faucet?

It is the Delta Faucet 155-RB-DST Victorian Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Spray in Venetian Bronze. It's been installed, and I noticed that it wiggles a little bit. The plumber said that nothing can be done about the wiggle because of the way the faucet is designed.

Does anybody know of a fix out there?

The faucet itself wiggles. The mounting assembly is tight, that is to say that there doesn't seem to be any give in the faucet where it is mounted on the sink (undermount SS on granite countertop). But the upper portion of the faucet (which is not named on the parts list) wiggles in the part that is labelled as the base.

The plumber did not install the stabilization plate; he insists that that has no bearing on this particular problem.
