39 year old water heater
My townhome is going to be put on the market. I noticed some rust near the bottom of the 39 year old electric water heater. Should I plan on replacing it?
JUST KIDDING! Of course I'm going to replace it but I was amazed to find that it was the original water heater and hasn't totally failed. I am sure the replacement wont last that long. Apparently the newer codes (NC) require and expansion tank, pan, and overflow routing to outside which I hope is included in the $610 replacement and install. Sounded high at first but not so bad with the code upgrades. Thoughts...advice? (40 gal electric)
