New Pool Paver/Coping Qestion w/ pics

mx702January 30, 2011

Had an IG vinyl steel walled pool installed in MA last fall and decided to wait until spring to lay our decking. We are considering going the paver route with a cantilever edge. My better half is not too fond of the the bullnosed edged pavers she's seen used for coping. She feels it presents too much of a border around the pool which is a look she would like to avoid. She has picked out a slab paver(Techo-Bloc Blu 60) for our decking, and I am wondering if its possible to just use the pavers as coping by laying them right up to the edge. Any comments/suggestions/opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi MX702, we're in MA and doing the fall/spring build too. We're going with tecnobloc blu pavers and matching bullnose coping. I've seen some pools with similar set up and it looks great. search "southern NH pool build" on here and you'll see CNR's pool which is beautiful and uses the blu pavers/coping. Good luck!
