Is this sewer cleaning charge reasonable?

organic_dodoAugust 27, 2010

First time move to a house, have no idea with the sewer cleaning, the guy I hired first tried snake pipe, didnt work, then he ask $1500 for jet cleaning! I thought I heard it wrong, just high pressure water, charge over thousand bucks!? Btw this is in NJ.

Wish I could move back to apartment.

If he could not snake the drain. How can you trust him to be able to clear it with the jet. I would call another plumber.

You don't supply enough info to even venture a guess.

How long is sewer?
What size?
What type pipe?
What ultimately was/is the problem?
