Are there really differences between brands of water treatment?
We are getting proposals for water treatment equipment. The water has been tested several times over the past 2 years. We are finally getting serious about doing this as we have installed a new Buderus boiler and hot water heater, all new plumbing and fixtures and want to protect it. The water has tested slightly acid and hard. The numbers come back different each time but we've been told this is to be expected. There is some iron and a lot of sediment but no bacteria. We have gotten proposals for several different brands of equipment from different providers. They include Kinetico, Aqua Pure, Royal Soft, Powerline and Evolve. I can't tell if there really are differences between the brands or does it just come down to accurately sizing and good warranty and service. I'd appreciate any advice on how to evaluate one brand against another. Thanks.
