cat found after five years

lily316September 15, 2011

A little healthy looking Tortie was found in NYC after going missing five years ago in Colorado,. He escaped during house renovation but was microchipped as a kitten. Owners were astounded to get the call their cat was in the Big Apple. Have not a clue how but are eagerly awaiting his return. Someone took care of him because he was healthy and calm.

Ahh, that's a great story for the Colorado family! I wonder if the cat will recognize them after so many years?

Hope he won't miss the NY person who apparently adopted him. Maybe found him in CO and took him with them to NY. . . Wonder why he left them now or they left him.

And no one from NYC has stepped up and claimed him even tho he's been in all the papers and internet. He's well fed, no fleas and social.

There's speculation that the NY owner (who had found the cat on a ski vacation in Colorado) actually took her to the shelter and simply told worker's she was a stray.

Here is a link that might be useful: Previous 'owner'
