Gas hot water heater leaking on top--keeps igniting?

love2weedMarch 15, 2011

Not really sure where the leak is--condensation on pipes on top--running off top down the sides. No water leak on inside of tank. You hear clicking sound--then it sounds like the gas burners are burning--then it goes out, then does it again over and over again. Will a bad thermocouple cause the heater to leak? It's a Rudd PVP50E-1A
