How difficult to install a sprayer in laundry room?

kclvFebruary 26, 2008

I have a laundry room sink with a 4" utility faucet. I would like to install a sprayer attachment. Is this difficult?

The faucet has two supply lines (tubing and valves) running to it. The sink is a regular laundry tub which was installed in a cabinet, so it is difficult to get access to the faucet from underneath.

I know I would have to drill a hole in the sink for the sprayer, and then atach the hose to the supply lines.

Lowes had a 4" laundry faucet with a pull out sprayer for $ 50 before Christmas, but it has disappeared from their web page. The sprayer and hose only cost $7, and I'm sure any fittings would not be expensive.

I bath the dog in the sink, and a sprayer would help a lot.

Home Depot has their store brand one with a pull out and what is nice is you can hook up a hose to it too (ours is in our basement). I bought it about two weeks ago for around $40. I didn't see any at Lowes.
