What combo do you like for sprinkling on homemade bread? I've used sesame, poppy, and flax but they really don't have a special flavor I'm hoping to find.
Have you mixed sesame, poppy and flax, or used them individually? A mix can also be a good choice. Add something that has more flavor: caraway, fennel or anise. I also like pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, and dried onion flakes.
I need to add Nigella. That's a new favorite on some gluten-free bread rounds I make.

In addition to those you have mentioned, I grind up peanuts, or walnuts, or pistachio nuts ----------- to sprinkle on top.
